Recap of our visit on April 28, 2024.
We visited the stands in the morning and had lunch. Must-see stand for any Stargate fan: the original props used in the 1994 movie. A private collector bought them afterwards and was about to dispose of them, but Musee Cinema et Miniature, based in Lyon, France, could save and present them to the public for the first time.
We also enjoyed the other non-Stargate props displayed by the museum. Another must-see stand for us, too: Toy Photo French Force, formed by toy photographers. We found out a few days before the event that we knew one of the artists.
The afternoon started with the anime/manga concert by Lea Yuna, singer, and Eric Artz, piano. Great moment. The audience, expert, recognized each song/melody.
The concert was followed by the k-pop performances of Risin and Open Danse Academy dance groups. Erica Durance, Lois Lane in the series Smallville, took over the stage to answer fans’ questions.
We visited again the stands and ended the day with the cosplay parade. Call of Duty, trio of Spidermen, lots of One Piece, among other fandoms. The oldest cosplayer was 75, there’s no age limit to be a passionate.
CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU exhibitors, fans, and Paris Fan Festival!
